ScrollUtils
ScrollUtils doesn't collect any data. Nothing about you or your browsing leaves your Mac.
Published by pureidle Labs. Last updated 27 September 2026.
What it can access
Safari lets ScrollUtils run on the websites you allow, because scrolling and zoom have to work on any page. On those pages it reacts only to your mouse: the middle button, the scroll wheel, and whether ⌘ or ⌥ is held. To know what to scroll, it checks which parts of the page can scroll. It doesn't read page text, forms, passwords, cookies or the address of the page, and it doesn't keep track of which sites you visit.
What it stores
Only your ScrollUtils settings, such as the scroll speed and the zoom key. Safari keeps them on your Mac and they never leave it.
What it sends
Nothing. ScrollUtils has no server, no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and it never connects to the internet. The ScrollUtils app checks whether the extension is turned on and can open Safari's settings; its privacy policy link opens this page in your browser.
If you email
If you write to the support address, your email address and your message are used only to reply to you. They aren't shared with anyone, and you can ask for them to be deleted.
Buying it
You buy ScrollUtils through the Mac App Store, and Apple handles the payment. pureidle Labs doesn't receive your payment details.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page changes first, before the app does.
